April 2007 Moveable Feast With Authors In April 2007, Donna participated in a Moveable Feast for Authors sponsored by the Heflin Arts Council Literary Division in Heflin, Alabama along with nine other authors. The Arts Council chose a spring garden party theme, and hosted a luncheon for guests. Authors ate together before the feast began and received a warm welcome along with a key to the city. Guests were seated at one of 10 tables in the main dining area where authors joined them. During the feast, authors sat with guests while they ate and moved from table to table in five minute increments. With 10 tables, this took almost an hour and gave the guests time to enjoy their meal and to learn about authors and their books. After the meal, folks mingled in the hallway where authors were provided with book tables to offer their books to guests and to answer more questions. A great time was had by all! Donna's article regarding this event appeared in the April, 2008 issue of The Writer Magazine). |
